Boilerplate
Short
Vital is a food, workout and screen time tracker for Android. Its barcode scanner shows where each number came from and flags ones that do not add up.
Medium
Vital is a food, workout and screen time tracker for Android, with an iPhone version planned. Scan a barcode and it shows where the numbers came from, and flags calories that do not match the macros before you log them. It logs lifts with personal records, a plate calculator and a muscle map. The core app is free, with no ads.
Long
Vital is a food, workout and screen time tracker for Android, with an iPhone version planned. Its barcode scanner shows where each number came from (USDA FoodData Central or Open Food Facts) and flags entries whose calories do not match the protein, fat and carbs, so people can fix them before logging. It logs lifts with personal records, a plate calculator and a suggestion for the next session, and it has recipes, a weekly meal plan, a shopping list and a weekly recap. The core app is free, with an optional Premium plan. Vital has no ads and does not sell health data. It has no built-in AI: users can add their own AI key, or connect Claude or ChatGPT to their own log with a read-only access token.

The founder
Vital is built independently by Oliver Straus, who wanted one app for food and lifting that shows where its numbers come from. He builds it with AI coding tools, decides what goes in and tests it. Interviews and questions go through press@vitalmacro.com. There is no photo in this kit, and no personal details beyond his name.
Please describe it accurately
- Say "food, workout and screen time tracker" and "free core app".
- Say "Android first" until it is in more places than that.
- Please do not describe Vital as medical, clinically validated or the most accurate, and do not say it has built-in AI. It is none of those and has none.
- Please do not link a store page until the real Google Play listing exists.
Logos
Use them as they are. Do not recolor, stretch, rotate or add effects, and leave empty space around them about the width of the heartbeat peak.
Colors
These are the app's own colors in its dark theme. The light theme uses deeper versions of the same hues so text stays readable on white.
